Timeshifting! Call it "Tivoing", DVR, or even the old VCR term taping... In this computer age, taking control of what you watch - and when has been a great solution to the problem of missing your favorite show in that one hour that it's actually on.
I couldn't tell you what time half the shows I watch are actually on. I just know that there's usually some recorded show that is available for me to watch. Busy as everyone is (my family included!), we don't have to worry about missing a show, and we don't have to dedicate a full hour to watch our favorite program.
These days, DVRs can record our favorite shows in High Definition, they can keep hundreds of hours worth of programming.
